Nice relaxing take it easy day

Still planning and thinking of ideas to make items to sell on my web shop and etsy. Its looking pretty good but now I need 48 hours in the day.

Tidied up my emails esp. Yahoo it had over 2500 to work through because of the groups I have joined but have added lots of blogs to my bookmarks ( I don't know where I'm going to find the time to read them??) and also lots of useful information.

Hubby got up early to take Mills to a quiz while I stayed in bed but I got up at 9:15 and he was just about to bring me a coffee and The Mail on Sunday....how sweet - how lucky am I? Hubby cooked lunch today as well - always tastes better when someones else cooks.

I tidied up my sewing room a little and did some sewing but still a long way to go!! But its MY organised untidiness - I know where to find things well most times!!

Knitting.

Toady I knitted the main pieces for the gateau, just have to see it together and knit the 'cream'. I really enjoy the knitting its quite relaxing although I'm slow at the moment but have got more speed than I used too.

I started writing up the 'junk' - (someone Else's 'treasure') ready to start listing on Ebay - I hope to make some money to pay fr my new overlocker.

A customer came today I have to take the shoulders up on a dress - well it all helps that £12.

Gave the bedroom a mini spring clean today - Oh hubby has to fix the curtain rail back I noticed that it was starting to come loose. He has a days holiday tomorrow so I will try and remember and get him to fix it- better sooner rather than later, he has planned to redo the drainage on the kitchen sink.

Shopping & Sewing- such a perfect day!

Hubby was over in Dublin today. No post for me but hubby has been busy ordering from Amazon!!

I spent the day sewing - finishing yet even more dolls t-shirts that I had already cut out. Tried my old overlocker that had been serviced and got on well with it, works perfect again although did take me about 10 minutes to get used to it and all threaded properly. And while having tea break and relaxing away from the machine adding to my Amazon wish list.

In the afternoon practised with my latest machine I added to my craft room- pyrography machine. Its brill and getting on with it really well. I found the best temperature for me to work at is just between 8 and 7. It great fun and makes a change from sewing.

In the evening we all went to Bluewater to shop for hubby's birthday. Bex first went with friends job hunting- well finding out info anyway. Then met up with us later. The shopping trip went very well.

Bex scored 100% in her astronomy test. WOW! She was over joyed and so pleased with herself, well who wouldn't with a score like that!!!

For an easy tea we all went to Burger King.

No sewing done today, I spent the day painting.
First the hallway ceiling and the banisters.
The lounge radiators
Utility room walls

Hopefully hubby will fix up the new light will brought from Ikea a few days ago.

Sewing & Tidying

Deliveries....

Well a busy day with deliveries today. Starts with my Lets Knit mag delivered which I really enjoy reading but I NEED more hours in the day to do all the projects I WANT to do!!!

But more exciting items followed first package is my new rotary line which I signed for then the same driver said I'll just go and get the second package which was my new overlocker/coverstitch machine -Oh I'm so excited but - will probably frustrate me to begin with as it looks so sophisticated!!

Well over the next few hours and into the evening it certainly did frustrate me but I think I've finally worked in all out!!!

Hubby's computer software arrived that he managed to get really cheap from his company- so he was very happy!!

Customers collected their items so I'm now £34 better off!! And no customer work at the moment.

Decorating today I coated the floor tiles in the toilet.

At the end of the day I didn't feel like I've achieved that much but I suppose I have really just not as much as I would have liked!!

Busy, Busy Busy!

The plate finally arrived today but it did not solve the problems so I rang David whom I brought the machine from and he is going to service it for me and I also brought the Janome 1200d so I'm looking forward to MOnady when its been delived ans=d also my overlocker is going to be picked up this Monday for service nd be delivered back to me the following Tuesday.

Painted the study walls and did a little clearing and tidying. Hubby desk is been delivered tomorrow so hopefully by the end of the weekend that room will be Spring cleaned and all sorted..just need to keep on top of it!!!

Painted the toilet walls, I'm hoping by the end of the weekend this room will ALSO be finished.

Friday gift knitted cakes which I am going to enjoy making---- Oh I need more hours in the day!!

Books arrived that I am going to enjoy reading and hopefully carry out some of the tips


Bex is still trying to sort her options out , I do hope she gets the subjects she really wants.

In the evening we went to Bluewater.

My I'm just so tired this evening I think the week is catching up with me!!!

A Great Day.

Today I tidyed my sewing room as it was piling it a bit. I made up two boxes and put a lots of dolls clothes that I made up. In the one box is sets awaiting for embellishments and headbands. The other box is full of trousers and skirts awaiting tops, coats or jumpers to go with them, that cleared a far amount of the bags. I emptied some of the fabric that was in the boxes on to the shelves. I took the green fabrics off which I am going to cut out next - I'm going to make rompers and dresses from that fabric. It certainly looks a lot clearer ready for me to carry on with my challenge. Also I made me two patterns one for a small bag and anoter for an ipod hoody. I made up the ipod hoody quickly just to see if its the correct size. I was quite pleased with the outcome for an 1/2 quick make.

The challenge for clearing most of the fabric has been slowed down due to my overlocker temporary broken. I ordered a plate for it last Thursday and still waiting. I am hoping it will turn up tomorrow. In the mean time I have got on with clearing the loft and decorating.

Took the cistern which had the hairline crack in it back to the bath store today and managed to pick up a couple more of the but one get one free Costa cards. We have used a
fair share of those so far this year. Hubby brought the coffee and cake and I treated us to the sandwiches. Makes a change for hubby to be using the voucher rather than me!! I have made a note as its often a joke that I always treat him when I have a voucher!!!

Another bargain today when I was shopping in Sainsburys I noticed the photo paper reduced from 11.99 to £3 so I picked up two.

Hubby finished papering the toilet today. I pasted the paper hubby hung it. Its looking really nice I hope it drys tonight so I can paint it tomorrow. Hopefully the floor tiles will get laid over the weekend then apart from the accessories it will be all finished.

Tomorrow PAINTING day!!!

Quite lost today!

I really wasn't to sure what I wanted to do today, I think its withdrawal symptoms as I have not been sewing and the plate for my overlocker still hasn't arrived - Oh so disappointed two reasons firstly I really want to know if it is the plate why its not sewing correctly and two I just want to sew. I did spent a couple of hours in my sewing room preping work that I had started - I trimmed the neckline edges on the t-shirts and turned them the right way and pressed them. Now they are piled neatly ready for the next stage. I made some dolly headbands that go with the t-shirts.

Decorating side - hubbby and I worked together - I pasted the paper and hubby hung it. We finished the top half and hopefully the bottom will get papered tomorrow. Its starting to look really nice. I'm looking forward to painting it tomorrow. I may go on and finish painting the hallway ceiling. And get all the paints ready for Friday - painting day- I'm going to refresh the study but other walls around the house need refreshing to and the landing banister.

Ordered a new washing line today - I decided to go for Hills Vileda 60m Supadry Hoist Rotary Clothes Dryer and again I'm looking forward to it arrving as hopefully the warmer weather is on its way and the washing can be hung outside again!!! I think I'm going to try and find a nice cover for it.

I did a wish today today and shall add to it when I find items that I like at the moment the prices range from £5.99 to a vasy £749 which is an overlocker that I came across when I was hunting for the plate for the overlocker I have!


Come across an update for my janome 350e so hopefully I will install that tomorrow.

Today I start with tidying and spring cleaning the bedroom. A few more things go up the loft the girls old school work and a few dolls that Mills wants to keep so the bedroom is starting to look a little clearer. I spent an hour and half in the loft organising again.

I move on to polishing the windowsill tiles in the toilet and I paint the window frame white. Hoping hubby will paper the bottom half this evening I did hint yesterday!

Next I move onto giving the landing carpet a clean.

There is tons of recycing that I hope they will take it tomorrow and even more rubbish beside the bin this week too! I didn't realise how much junk there was up the loft!! And I'm only half way through!

I'm still hoping Ebay will have a cheap list day. I have so much to list and I hope it will sell - my junk I'm sure will be somebodys 'treasure'!

I transferred alll the videos I wanted onto DVD.

Wow no sewing done TOday

The day starts with me working in the garden clearing all the rubbish and tidying up. I checked the paints in the garage and dumped the colours we no longer have in the house! The garage could do with a good spring clean too another tip run I feel - an old bike and a couple of old doors. It was such a lovely day for working in the garden cleared some weeds too. But still a lot of work to do in the garden.

Afterwards I spent an hour in the loft and did a little tidying up/ organising but still more clearing in there to do I' about a third way round.

I move on to the downstairs toilet and I paint the ceiling, seal the walls, polish the tiles, clear the paint of the window frame and wash the light shade. I started painting the hallway ceiling as I still had some paint left in the tray and there were some marks on the ceiling so I thought I would refresh it.
