Our First BQ for 2009

Had a walk to Bluewater today, well we was going to have a walk around the block but on the way decided to see where the path led to and it was Bluewater, didn't realise Bluewater had such a nice area to enjoy and relax, beautiful lakes and water falls. Bluewater itself was not so enjoyable it was heaving and I hate it when its so so busy, I suppose because I have the beauty of enjoying it so much at quiet times. Well we got a drink from Boots and enjoyed a walk back.
On our walk I found out hubby was only joking about taking me to Star Trek and a meal at Leons afterwards which I was really looking forward too! ......Well it started as a joke with Bex saying Mr Bloom ( a teacher) took his wife so she joked why didn't dad take me and I replied that's fine as long as its followed with a meal at Leons of which hubby agreed but obviously then changed his mind but only kept it to himself.

The weather really brightens up and I said about a BQ but we didn't really have anything in. I said to the girls when I got back about a BQ and they said why done you go to Iceland which is what I was rather hoping hubby would reply....well we did go and get burgers, onion rings......and Bex enjoyed BQing but the weather didn't stay with us it clouded over but we managed to enjoy the food before the rain.

Hubby seems to be tidying more than normal which is quite strange. What is going on? LOL

Mills is shopping for a new wardrobe of clothes Primark one of her favorite stores

Shopping for Mills clothes in Bromley before we start as usual with hubby starts with a coffee, well I brought juice from the juice bar for Mills and me - warning do not go there it had the most awful after taste! - wished I'd joined hubby with a Nero coffee and so did Mills - hubby did offer. Well you have to give things a go. Before we left I can not resist but to visit to The Works book store and yet another two books to add to my collection.

Books from The Works bookstore

Before we left I can not resist but to visit to The Works book store and yet another two books to add to my collection.
Felted Handknits £2.99
Essential Crochet £3.99
Which I think is fabulous as ONE pattern can cost that so a book full is a bargain.

Spent a few hours at mum in laws and had some lunch, we sat in the garden as it was such a lovely day.

Garden - Mills mows the lawn and I done all the weeding and cut back all the ivy and tree/bushes that was coming over into our garden - looks much better but still more work needs doing. Got the table and chairs out of the shed and set them up.

Hubby ordered in from Pizza Hut as he had a 50% off voucher. And we had our dinner al fresco.

Fabulous day

Day starts with a drive to Stretham to collect books that I won on Ebay. We went afterwards to mums and spent the rest of the day there which was really lovely. We arrived at Eltham after 3 and half hours round drive the worse part was Catford very quequed and slow added aboiut 45 mins to the journey. Mum had the burgers all ready and cooked for us as Mills phoned up when we were close.
It was a really nice day, Nan was also at mums and we went up the High Street.

Books, books and even more books

I have been buying yet again on Ebay I think hubby may try and ban this site from uploading on any computer I access!!! As I won 10 books and not only that to save on postage I asked to collect the books so guess who was driving me there. He was a great guy, very pleasant and very helpful I missed out (outbid) on 5 books and he had three of the 5 books so sold me three and also let me look at the stock and choose others too so 16 books in total for £40......such a bargain.

And this book Beaders Bible arrived today that I won for £1.25 +£2.75 p&p

So now I'm going to have to spend some time organising my book shelves and also plan projects ...OH I need more hours in each day to complete what I want to do.

Busy with crafting

Haven't blogged for such a long time now, I have been busy with crafting items for my web shop that hubby is working on. Hopefully it will be fully up and running with everything just the way I want it by August.

Not very exciting really

Busy all day long. Day starts with dropping the girls at school then onto my food shopping travels. Yesterday I had such good fun finding all the bargains and special offers and made up my list. Starting at Sainsburys in and out within 1/2 hour spending £17.79 then onto Waitrose spending £23.93 that includes a fruit drink for to to enjoy as now I'm off to do the main shopping at Tesco. I trued going the back way to the tunnel but missed a turning so I did Asda spent £5.44 there then when home for a coffee and then off to Tesco! Tesco shopping all done £61.61 but £10 was mine as I treated myself to a new sleeve board and a filofax diary. A few luxuries in the like method window cleaner but it great I love it and also limited edition grapes, blackberries and blueberries.

Easy dinner tonight Pizza Express pizza 12" size and garlic baguette with a side salad each followed with strawberries, limited edition grapes( from Waitrose) and blackberries. Very nice thoroughly enjoyed it.

A fantastic day enjoyed the food shopping. And also I had two customers today -Sue brought in 4 pairs of shorts to be taken in and also shorten 3. And Daphne brought me a pair of trousers that needs taken in. So I will be busy tomorrow with alterations as Sue needs them by Weds and Dapne by Thurs.

Bex brought a bike from Amazon today she was watching one on Ebay but it went up to £59.01 so while she was waiting she went looking on Amazon and found some that she liked £85-£99 so she went for one of this instead and is really looking forward to it arriving.

Bex has been working really hard with school work and it is paying off for her as she is getting absolutely superb grades. We are really proud of her and she is so pleased with herself and just so too she should be. We are hoping she will be able to get a summer job as she really wants to work over the summer and try and save for a Apple Mac.

Tea Bag Doll and Frustration at PC

First thing today i walked to Dartford market and back. The market is not really that good and very disappointing today as the magazine guy was not there today and that's the only stall I enjoy!!

I went to the post office and picked up a couple of passport forms and finally remembered to post a couple of letters.

Went to boots and brought Nivea My Silhouette as it is half price in Boots at the moment, I looked at it in Salisbury's yesterday but it was £11.49.

When I got back I carried on working on the tea bag dolls a range that I am going to add to my web shop. I embroidered a couple of faces but i wanted them smaller after a couple of hours and getting very frustrated I gave up and setting hubby on the task!!LOL. BuzzSizer is fabulous!

Well hubby sorted it all out and showed me and I'm pleased just hope tomorrow when I try and sew them it it will all go well everything seemed fine as the stitch density reduced as well which was giving me grief today.
