Quilt in the making

Made more progress on Mills quilt, hoping to have it finished by end April. Its coming along nicely. I'm quite pleased with it, I hope Mills like it. The photo that I followed made it up in several different fabrics more then I have used here I like all the panels but my favorite have to be cats, followed by the middle floral then the teddies

Hubby arrived back from Dublin today, he brought back a beautiful necklace for me and a lovely doll each for the girls.

Crafting away

Knitting- I finished the dolly mittens and carried on knitting the handle for the bag

Sewing - Finished making up six dolly t-shirts that I had embroidered a while ago.
Also I lined the bag that I knitted and finished on Monday, its now ready for the camcorder.

The usual chores washing and ironing and general tidying.

My tripod arrived today so now I will be able to make craft videos/ tutorials for u-tube and also videos for my blog.

Challenge completed.

Day begins with the usual chores of general tidying.

SEWING
In my sewing room I begin with repairs and alterations - a couple of Bex items Pj top and also pocket on hoody. I also shorten mums trousers.

CRAFT CHALLENGE
I then move onto crafting - todays challenge is to make a waistcoat for a bottle. Mum and dad brought one while on hols and I have managed to make one myself.

Utube is fab- hubby found a recipe that I wanted from Nigella Lawsons programme 13th April. I never thought of looking for the recipe on there although I use it lot for my crafting and hoping to uplaod a few tutorial videos myself, as I have gained a lot of knowledge and hoping to return some now, as hubby brought me a camcorder for my birthday.

KNITTING
Sewn up the bag a was knitting and also started knitting the second handle. Also started knitted some dolly mittens, I hooked now with knitted on 3/4 needles its fabulous!

Back to the sewing room

Today I started with the alteration that has been waiting a couple of weeks as the girls were on hols, I wanted to complete it once I started as it was french seamed.

I embroidered fabric ready to make into Tooth fairy items..... which is another category that I want to add to my shop. So I'm hoping to have about 4 finished by the end of the week.

Ironing all up to date. Had a three courese dinner tonight. Starter melon, Kegeree and apple crumble and custard for dessert.

Off the needles

I finished the bag today along with knitted icord too. The next stage I'm going to make a padded lining for it as I am going to use it for my camcorder that hubby brought me for my birthday. The pattern was for a smaller caera bag but I increased the number of stitches 25 on each needle which I carried on knitted until the required lenght then I started knitting alteranate rows two together knit a row until the last six xtitches then cast off knitting two together. To finish off I knitted icord. I hope to make the lining for it tomorrow.

Birthday - living it up!

Well celebrating my 30 something birthday and certainly in style for three days running!!
Thursday -Went to Bluewater and had a meal at SantaFa
Friday -Early afternoon we headed up to London, the first stop TJi Fridays for a meal then a nice stroll around convent garden before going to the theatre to see Oliver.
Saturday -We were shopping in Bexleyheath just hubby and I so we enjoyed a meal at Zizzis.

Hubby brought me a lovely red camcorder so I hoping to start creating craft videos to upload to youtube.

On the needles now

This is the first time I have tried knitting with three needles and after a bit of a fiddley start ....casting on for the third time horray I'm on my way and after about four hours knitting this it. I'm really enjoying it and so glad I have achieved, so I hope to one day knit socks!!

Shopping

Went to Braintree shopping today - I wanted some paper from the Paper Mill shop. Also brought tea from Wittard for the samjar. Bex also made herself up a box of A3 paper and conned her dad into paying for it, Mills also conned her dad (as Bex had paper she had to have something too!!!) for some card making things.

Afterwards we went and had meatballs at Ikea. And managed to come out without buying anything that's definitely one for the diary.

Back home finished the alterations, ironing , sorted the washing hope to get it up to date over the weekend.

High Elms Woods - Beeche

Saturday - mills went to a party, instead of going back home we went to High Elms very nice woods

still sewing up dolls clohes (mainly headbands to go with outfits preped today) nearly all the ufo's are finishged - well sewn up just ready for trimming with lace, bows emabellishments - which will be nuce to do in the summer as I can sit in the summer house and finish the outfits off.

My others plans and ideas are coming together just hoping they will sell at christmas.

The girls have brokeup for the Easter braek so my sewing will slow down a little but i hope to get a lot of prep work done.
